We had such fun when we invited the parents in to join our maths activities. Making shapes with art straws, multilink, computers and even our bodies; following patterns and measuring everything – including ourselves and our mums!! Wow! What a brilliant start to our Toys r Us topic. The children had a fantastic day making their own toys, using drills, sandpaper, crayons and hammers to put their toys together. The finished results are on display outside our classroom and the children will get to take them home in a few weeks. It was just like Santa’s Workshop!!

Oo ar me maties – we had great fun on our pirate day to finish off our pirate topic. The children (and the staff) loved dressing up and playing games such as walk the plank. We hope the parents enjoyed our pirate song and a taste of our ‘rum and gunpowder’ and weevil biscuits. It would be lovely if you could leave a comment to let us know what you think.
